Leaving your dog with someone else is a big decision, so here's exactly what happens when your dog stays with us for residential training, from where they sleep to the day you take them home.

Where your dog stays

Your dog stays in our home, not kennels.

  • A dedicated dog room, with air conditioning and humidity control
  • A custom-built crate for each dog
  • Time in the house with us, as part of our daily routine
  • Your dog's diet documented and followed, with the food you provide

Drop-off

We go through your dog's feeding, structure and the final details together, so nothing is missed.

During the stay

Training starts with structure, engagement and core behaviours. Then we introduce e-collar conditioning, gradually and fairly, paired with what your dog already knows.

Updates while you're apart

You won't be left wondering how your dog is getting on. You get WhatsApp updates with videos, pictures and explanations:

  • The Precision Programme: 4 updates, on Mondays and Fridays
  • The Mastery Programme: 3 updates in the first week, then 2 a week

Taking your dog home

The aim is never just a dog that behaves for us. It's a dog that behaves for you.

  • Precision ends with a 1.5-hour handover lesson covering handling, structure and correct use of the e-collar, plus a handover guide and WhatsApp support for a couple of weeks.
  • Mastery includes an owner session around three-quarters of the way through, then collection day with a handover guide, a follow-up lesson about 2 days later and a final session 1 to 2 weeks after that, with ongoing WhatsApp support.

What two stays looked like

Hank, a nervous Bulldog, stayed for three weeks. We built a relationship with him first, then worked on lead fundamentals, recall and place work in the house, muzzle-trained him for safety, and took him from quiet spots to busy parks and shopping areas. At handover he went from tail tucked to tail held high. Hank's story

Chico, a German Shepherd, stayed for two weeks. We built his food motivation, then down stays and loose-lead walking, practised settling in cafés, and conditioned him carefully towards off-lead walks. His owner, Lorna, wanted to take him to the beach off-lead: we achieved it on the day she collected him. Chico's story
