Recall is built in calm moments, long before you need it in a busy park. These five games make coming back fun.

1. The name game

Say your dog's name once. The moment they look at you, reward them. Repeat a few times a day.

2. Back and forth

With two people in the garden, take turns calling your dog between you. Reward every arrival.

3. Hide and seek

On a quiet walk, step behind a tree while your dog is sniffing. Call once, and make a big fuss when they find you.

4. Collar grab

When your dog comes back, gently hold their collar before the reward, so being caught never means the fun is over.

5. Recall and release

Call your dog, reward them, then send them straight back off to play. Coming back stops meaning the end of the walk.
