Director - Head Trainer

Madison Shepphard

Madi Shepphard is the founder and Director of Revolution Dog Training, bringing a lifetime of experience and a competitive edge to every training session. Her journey with dogs began early, competing in Flyball from the age of just nine and progressing to the highest levels of international competition. Madi has represented teams on the global stage, earning prestigious titles at Crufts and the British Flyball Association Championships, while also breaking multiple records along the way.

This elite competitive background shaped Madi’s disciplined, results-driven approach to training — one that balances structure, motivation, and clear communication. Beyond Flyball, Madi is also an active competitor in PSA (Protection Sports Association), training alongside her Belgian Malinois, Koda. Together, they have achieved their Protection Dog Certificate and are currently working toward PSA Level 1 and Level 2 certifications.

Madi’s passion lies in helping dogs and owners build strong, respectful, and rewarding relationships. Her goal is to create confident, well-mannered dogs while empowering owners with the skills and knowledge needed for long-term success. Whether you’re working through behavioural challenges or looking to take your training to the next level, Madi is committed to making the journey positive, effective, and enjoyable for both ends of the leash.
Director - Trainer

Michael Shepphard

Michael is one of the trainers at Revolution Dog Training and has had dogs in his life for nearly his entire life. Over the past six years, he has fully immersed himself in the world of dog training, with a strong focus on canine behaviour, mindset, and fulfilling the needs of high-drive working dogs.

Mike met Madi through the dog sport community and shortly after became part of the Revolution Dog Training team, applying his knowledge and experience to working with both his own dogs and client dogs. His passion for training deepened after owning a high-drive German Shepherd, which highlighted the importance of structure, clear communication, and appropriate outlets. This led him to attend seminars and continue expanding his education within the training world.

Mike has worked closely with K9 Police Officers in the USA, helping prepare working dogs and increasing handler knowledge around canine mindset, drive, and clarity under pressure. He has also hosted multiple seminars across Canada and the USA, teaching both handlers and their dogs, and sharing practical, real-world training strategies.

Mike now owns two Belgian Malinois and is actively preparing to compete in PSA once his dog Adonis is old enough. His goal is to develop both dogs as Elite Family Protection Dogs, combining stability, control, and real-world reliability. In addition to his role at Revolution Dog Training, Mike also runs Revolution Elite Protection Dogs, where he focuses on producing capable, confident protection dogs suited to family life.

Mike is passionate about sharing the skills he has developed and helping owners gain the same enjoyment, confidence, and fulfilment from working with their dogs. His aim is to support owners in building balanced, well-trained dogs and strong, rewarding relationships that last.

FAQs

Your dog stays in your allocated trainer's home. No kennels are used during our residential stays.

A handover session and a one-to-one course are included in all of our residential packages for continued support. The handover session takes place upon collection so you can continue the work we have done as soon as you get home. If you find that you need us before your next one-to-one, we are only a phone call away. You will also receive a personalised guide from your allocated trainer.

Your dog may need a couple of hours to settle and feel comfortable in a new environment, but we work hard to reassure them and help them feel safe. We usually find that they settle quite quickly with staying in a home environment and having a warm comfy bed! However, if we ever felt that your dog was too stressed, we would contact you immediately and find a better-suited programme.

We make a concerted effort to keep you updated regularly. We will make sure we have up-to-date contact numbers. You will receive photos and videos of your dog during their stay with us.
