Madi Barraclough - Revolution Dog Training - Yorkshire Dog Training
Director - Head Trainer

Madison Barraclough

As the founder of Revolution Dog Training, I’d like to introduce myself. Before dedicating myself to dog training full-time, my journey in the dog world took me to the highest levels of competition available in Flyball. Believe it or not, I started competing at only 9 years old! I competed on a global stage and achieved prestigious titles at Crufts and the British Flyball Association Championships, – all while breaking records along the way. This competitive background has instilled a sense of discipline, perseverance, and a winning spirit that I bring to my dog training endeavours.
My journey with dogs isn’t limited to training. I am also an active participant in the sport of PSA (Protection Sports Association). My partner in this journey is my two year old Belgian Malinois, Koda. Together, we have already achieved our Protection Dog Certificate and are now working towards our Level 1 and 2 certification.
If you’re facing any unwanted behavioral issues or simply want to expand your skill set, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
My primary goal is to help dogs and their owners develop a positive and harmonious relationship. I want to ensure that both dog and owner have a fulfilling and enjoyable experience with us and go on to lead a happier and more relaxed lifestyle. My aim is to create well-behaved, happy, and confident dogs while educating owners on effective communication and training techniques.
Manager - Trainer

Michael Shepphard

Michael is one of the trainers here at Revolution Dog Training, having dogs nearly his entire life, but in the past 4 years really dove head first into the world of dog training and the mindset behind the dogs.
Meeting Madi at a dog sport show and then became part of the team shortly after, using the knowledge to help with client dogs.
We asked Mike for a brief run down of how he got into the training side of the dog world.
“After getting a German Shepherd which ended up being a very high drive working dog, the training side took a much more serious role. Starting to go to seminars to understand how to make sure the dog was getting the right outlets etc, it slowly started becoming a real part of my life. Which I couldn’t have been more happy about! 4 years later I now have 1 Belgian Malinois and 1 Dutch Herder. I am very happy to now be able to share the skills I have learnt over the years and help others get the same enjoyment and pleasure out of their own dogs.”As the founder of Revolution Dog Training, I’d like to introduce myself. FAQs

Your dog stays in your allocated trainer's home. No kennels are used during our residential stays.

A handover session and a one-to-one course are included in all of our residential packages for continued support. The handover session takes place upon collection so you can continue the work we have done as soon as you get home. If you find that you need us before your next one-to-one, we are only a phone call away. You will also receive a personalised guide from your allocated trainer.

Your dog may need a couple of hours to settle and feel comfortable in a new environment, but we work hard to reassure them and help them feel safe. We usually find that they settle quite quickly with staying in a home environment and having a warm comfy bed! However, if we ever felt that your dog was too stressed, we would contact you immediately and find a better-suited programme.

We make a concerted effort to keep you updated regularly. We will make sure we have up-to-date contact numbers. You will receive photos and videos of your dog during their stay with us.
